• Does Radway undertake domestic projects?
No. Radway are a public sector contractor that operates in the Social Housing, Education, Ministry of Defence, and Health sectors.
• Does Radway install as well as supply windows and doors?
Radway are a full service contractor. We project manage the total project from planning to installation. We do not offer supply only or install only services.
• What size of projects can Radway undertake?
We take on a variety of public sector assignments ranging from Surestart new builds to multi-million pound refurbishment projects.
• Why choose Radway as a Partner?
Radway was founded 42 years ago in 1965, and has worked exclusively in the Public Sector throughout its existence. During this time, Radway has formed strategic alliances with supply chain partners to include aluminium and timber windows and doors, as well as other associated external envelope capabilities. Radway is the longest standing PVC-U window fabricator having had a Window Arrangement in place with the LHC since 1994.
• Does Radway possess Quality Assurance Accreditation?
Yes. Radway was the first company in the UK to receive the unique Kite Mark BS 8213-4:2007, license number KM 80519 awarded in April 2005. In addition Radway was one of the first window contractors nationally to be awarded BS EN ISO 9001:2000 (originally BS 5750 Part I) for its Quality Management System.
• Does Radway have an apprenticeship scheme?
Yes. Radway currently employs 10 trainees throughout the business, and aims to recruit trainees/apprentices for each project under the Local Agenda 21 Initiative. If you would like to find out more about joining the Radway Team, please visit the current vacancies section.
• Does Radway use sub-contractors?
Yes. Radway maintains a list of approved sub-contractors, from which it appoints teams to specific projects and only uses experienced installers in its teams. Radway is successfully undertaking a training and development programme, under its GQA Approved Centre status, successfully training and mentoring its site based workforce to NVQ Level 2 and onto CSCS certification. Carrying out this stringent training for all personnel, Radway ensures that all installers meet the high quality of workmanship that the company demands of its workforce.
• How does Radway demonstrate a commitment to sustainability?
The importance of a sustainable approach accompanied by the environmental policy is communicated to all employees upon joining the company. Regular information and updates in legislation are communicated at monthly meetings and via internal memoranda. The company’s Chairman is a Board member of Sustainability West Midlands, which is committed to promoting environmental excellence through the transfer of best practice across the public, private and voluntary sectors. Our PVC-U profile, manufactured by LB Plastics, uses Organic Calcium as a stabiliser, and is 100% lead free and recyclable.
